On July 13, 2011, Energy Launch Partners’ Managing Partner Ross Harding presented to the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership class of 2011 participants. IGEL offers many viewpoints, perspectives and information about the environment.  This session was constructed to give the participants the opportunity to sort through often conflicting points of view and suggest solutions. The participants in IGEL are leaders who have already impacted environmental issues in Georgia. Harding’s presentation was focused on the “Biofuels and the Potential for the Future”. He stressed the importance of the companies that support the biofuels industries, comparing them to the “picks and shovels” of the California gold rush. He then gave two examples of such companies, Mantex US- a biomass moisture scanning company, and Gridquant- a grid management and operations company. These two companies were recently launched in Savannah, GA by Energy Launch Partners. We are excited to see ELP represented among such influential members of the industry and helping to spark informed discussion.
